51²è¹Ý¶ù. (Trace) is progressing its solutions-based business as a subcontractor to key partner, Alion Science & Technology, a part of Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) on the Fog and Edge Computing Needs for the Department of Defense (DoD).

The DoD’s Under Secretary of Defense for Research & Engineering (R&E) Capability Prototypes Office and the Air Force Research Laboratory’s (AFRL) Transformational Capabilities Office (TCO) awarded contracts across multiple innovative technology areas. Trace will bring our research and solutions development expertise to support analysis and development of innovative edge computing capabilities for both airborne and on ground platforms for the USAF.

Therman Farley, VP for Technology Solutions at Trace said, “We are excited to bring our expertise and experience in developing Secure, Hyper Converged, Software Defined Data Centers that provide significant SWaP savings in the enterprise and at the edge to support AFRL. Taking what we have already done in significantly decreasing the physical footprint and cyber attack surface associated with existing systems and applying that to additional existing and emerging technology to meet evolving requirements is a challenge that we are happy to take on and succeed in.â€

Trace’s M-DRIVE solution has been assessed and authorized by the National Cross Domain Security Management Office (NCDSMO) and deployed in support of multiple DoD Services and Combatant Commands in support of global coalition information sharing environments.
